Role Overview
The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing our processes, bridging communication between international students and NZ education providers, and leveraging digital platforms to streamline operations. This hybrid role combines analytical rigor with stakeholder engagement to drive efficiency and growth in the international education sector.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization:
Analyze and improve workflows for student admissions, visa processing, and provider collaborations.
Develop data-driven strategies to enhance service delivery and compliance with Immigration New Zealand (INZ) policies.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as a liaison between students, NZ education providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth transitions and resolve queries.
Maintain strong relationships with INZ and education partners to stay updated on policy changes.
Digital Platform Management:
Evaluate and implement digital tools to automate processes (e.g., application tracking, document verification).
Train staff and students on platform usage to improve engagement.
Reporting & Compliance:
Monitor visa approval trends, document requirements, and student success metrics.
Ensure adherence to INZ’s operational manual and Code of Practice for international students.
Market Insights:
Research trends in international education (e.g., visa processing times, popular courses) to advise students and providers.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 3+ years in business analysis, preferably in education, immigration, or related sectors.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL), CRM systems, and digital platforms.
Communication: Exceptional written/verbal English; ability to simplify complex visa/education policies.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with NZ student visa processes (e.g., AIP, funds evidence, GTE requirements) is a plus.
Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and culturally sensitive to support diverse international students.
